Edrina Nazaradeh (JD '18) Honored at California Women's Association Judicial Reception

July 16, 2018 | Pepperdine Law alumna Edrina Nazaradeh (JD '18) was honored as the 2018 California Women Lawyers (CWL) Foundation Nancy E. O'Malley Scholarship Recipient at the Northern California Judicial Reception hosted by the CWL Association.  "Nazaradeh is a first-generation American who was deeply affected by her parents' stories of seeking asylum in the United States amidst the Iranian Revolution" read her scholarship announcement found here in the CWL Newsletter May 2018. Nazaradeh's recent Pepperdine Law Review article, "There is no Such Thing as a Child Prostitute: Why Decriminalization is Only the First Step in California," 45 Pepp.L.Rev. 189 (2018), was inspired by her experience in law school working for International Justice Mission and District Attorney's Office. This fall, she will begin a clerkship for the Honorable Elizabeth K. Dillon of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia.

Professor Chris Goodman, who has served on CWL's Executive Committee is a past CWL President, brought together a group of Pepperdine alumni and students to join Edrina as she was honored.
