Ed Larson Presents "The New State Constitutions of 1776" -- Florida State University College of Law

Professor Edward J. Larson presented "The New State Constitutions of 1776: The Declarations of Independence That Mattered" at Florida State University College of Law's Conference on the Declaration of Independence on October 16. The conference, titled "250 and Not Looking a Day Older," brought together scholars from across the nation to examine the Declaration's meaning, history and enduring influence. The conversations explored the Declaration’s promises of equality and rights, the ways Americans have interpreted and drawn upon those promises, and its place in debates about constitutional principles and power.
