Disaster Relief Clinic Course | Spring 2021
The Clinical Education Program is excited to announce that the Disaster Relief Clinic course (LAW 600-10) is back for Spring 2021! The School of Law has established a strong framework for disaster recovery related legal services since beginning disaster recovery work in late 2017. Its work has included legal assistance for survivors of Hurricane Harvey, Thomas fire, Woolsey fire, and other disasters. The clinic's work has now expanded to include assistance for matters related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the clinic course, students gain hands-on experience in the transitioning legal needs in matters navigating bureaucratic and administrative processes, housing, employment, insurance, government permits and benefits, and rebuilding.
The Disaster Relief Clinic course (LAW 600-10), like many other clinic courses, is a 3-unit course open for enrollment.
