The Nootbaar Institute on Law, Religion and Ethics at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law is delighted to invite all members of the Caruso Law community to join us on Thursday, January 18 at 5:30 PM for a talk by renowned artist and Christian thought leader Makoto Fujimura and his spouse, attorney Haejin Shim Fujimura, on the occasion of Makoto Fujimura's solo exhibition at the Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine.
Fujimura's talk, "Water Flames and Sea Beyond," will be followed by a short film and presentation by his wife, lawyer and CEO of Embers International, Haejin Shim Fujimura, who will speak about their transformative work integrating their Christian faith into global justice work. The talk will be held in Stauffer Chapel on Pepperdine's Malibu campus, and will be followed by a public reception. Registration is not required.
The event is being co-sponsored by the Weisman Museum, the Chaplain’s Office at Pepperdine University, and the Nootbaar Institute on Law, Religion and Ethics at Caruso School of Law.
