Alanni Perman Receives Scott H. Racine Award for Excellence in the Study of Taxation 2026

Pepperdine Caruso Law third-year student Alanni Perman has been awarded the Scott H. Racine Award for Excellence in the Study of Taxation. The award is given each year to a Caruso Law graduating juris doctor student who has excelled in the tax curriculum. While at Caruso Law, Perman focused on tax law and enjoyed taking Federal Income Tax and Taxation of Business Entities. Following graduation, she will continue specializing in tax law by pursuing a Taxation LL.M. in order to eventually work at a law firm that specializes in private wealth management, particularly trust, estate, and tax planning for high net worth clients.

About the Scott H. Racine Award for Excellence in the Study of Taxation Endowed Fund:

The Scott H. Racine Award for Excellence in the Study of Taxation Endowed Fund was established as an award restricted to graduating students of the Caruso School of Law with financial need who have excelled in the tax curriculum and are pursuing a career in the practice of tax law. He received his LLM in taxation from the New York University in 1979.

His lifelong commitment to giving back has inspired both his colleagues and his alma mater. Racine’s professional excellence has been recognized widely. He has been named to Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Who’s Who in American Law, Southern California Super Lawyers, and Corporate Counsel’s Top Lawyers in America, among others.
