2019 Outstanding Advocate Awards Presented at Graduation Breakfast

May 29, 2019 | On Thursday, May 16, the annual Order of Barristers and Outstanding Advocates of the Year awards were presented to third-year law students at the graduation breakfast. The Order of the Barristers awards are given to ten third-year students to recognize their exceptional work in appellate and trial advocacy competitions. This year's trial advocacy recipients were Margaret Bennett, Bryant Coffman, Gib Faller, Emily Hoyt, and Spencer Wolfe. The awards for excellence in appellate advocacy went to Anna Goodman, Jacob Martin, Matthew Myatt, Monica Paladini, and Tracy Smith.

Each year, the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Foundation gives an award to the top Trial Advocate from Pepperdine Law. This year's Outstanding Trial Advocate was presented to Ava Jahanvash.

For the first time at Pepperdine Law, the Appellate Advocacy Program presented an Outstanding Appellate Advocate of the Year award to Anna Goodman.

Congratulations to these outstanding students!
