Business and Tax Law Program
Business law attorneys may practice litigation or transaction law, and sometimes in both areas. However, most attorneys practicing corporate law are transactional lawyers. They represent companies in one or more of three areas: corporate governance and compliance, merge and acquisitions, and securities.
Business and Corporate Law Degree
Business law encompasses a wide range of practice areas, including among others, corporate law, securities law, corporate finance, commercial law, bankruptcy, tax, intellectual property business negotiations, venture financing, startup law, cross-border transactions and labor and employment law. Additionally, corporate attorneys may specialize in representing either public or private companies.
