Pepperdine Caruso School of Law's unique London Program is a rigorous and exciting study-abroad program open to visiting law students in the second or third years of law school. The law school offers the London Program each fall term. The Pepperdine Academic Director teaches courses in American law, while British professors and lawyers teach courses touching on varied aspects of international, foreign, and British law and practice, including human rights, business, politics, and diplomacy.

Learn more about the program on the Visiting Student Information page.

Requirements
Visiting students must be in good standing at an ABA-accredited law school. In order to process
your file, we require that, in addition to this application, you submit:

  1. A letter from your law school permitting you to take units through Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law's London Program
  2. A letter of good standing from your law school
  3. A current resume
  4. A statement of intent of 350 words or less (approximately 1/2 page, single-spaced) to describe why you would like to participate in the Fall London Law Program and how you will use this experience to enhance your long-term goals and your academic career
  5. A current official transcript
  6. All students are required to send a scan of their passport to Karen Haygreen.  Please note that your passport must be valid beyond the end of Fall 2025. Although up to now the UK has simply required that your passport is valid for the duration of your stay, you are advised to have at least six months validity post-departure date on your passport, in case this changes as the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) in place as of the start of 2025, is unrolled.  This is already a requirement of most other European countries, some of which you are likely to visit during the semester, either with Pepperdine or for Personal travel. Please see the section on Immigration in this website for further details of the ETA for the UK, and the ETIAS for European travel.
