Jill S. Jurries (JD '00) Appointed Magistrate Judge in Fourth Judicial District, Idaho

December 18, 2015 -- Pepperdine Law alumna Jill S. Jurries (JD '00) has been appointed a magistrate judge in Ada County, Idaho. Her assignment to the family law docket will begin in January 2016.

From the District Court, Fourth Judicial Circuit, State of Idaho:

Jill S. Jurries, 40, of Boise, has been appointed magistrate judge in Ada County.  Ms. Jurries currently maintains a solo private law practice in Boise specializing in family law, child custody and mediation.  She has been admitted to practice with the Idaho State Bar since 2001, the Federal Court Bar, District Court of Idaho since 2001, and a member of the Idaho Supreme Court roster of mediators since 2006.  Ms. Jurries is a former member of the United State Secret Service, serving as a criminal investigator.  She was also a deputy prosecuting attorney for Payette County, Idaho.

 

Ms. Jurries holds a Bachelor's of Art degree in political science from Seattle Pacific University, Seattle, Washington and a J.D. from the Pepperdine University School of Law, Malibu, California, where she was a Terry Giles Scholar Award recipient.
