Life in Malibu
Since Malibu was established, the city has been prized by the world's top celebrities and executives for how it combines proximity to one of the world's busiest metropolitan areas with a serenity and beauty that restore a healthy life perspective. This combination also happens to make it the ideal location to study law, conduct scholarly research, and attend intensive conferences and training.
Pepperdine University's Malibu campus was a gift from the Adamson family in the 1960s. (Read the story of the "Malibu Miracle" in Pepperdine Magazine.) The Caruso School of Law moved from its Orange County campus to Malibu in 1978. United States Supreme Court Justice William Rehnquist delivered the dedication address for the new Odell McConnell Law Center.
