Los Angeles County Supervisors Tap Prof. Anthony Miller for Employee Relations Commission

Los Angeles County supervisors have appointed Pepperdine School of Law professor Anthony Miller to the employee relations commission. The three-person commission rules on hundreds of labor disputes annually, but has not had a quorum in over a year due to disagreements between unions and management. Miller was confirmed to the position by a 4-0 vote.

Miller, a specialist in employment and family law, has taught at Pepperdine Law since 1977. He has served as a dispute resolution neutral in both areas of interest: as a divorce mediator and as a labor arbitrator. He is currently on the panel of arbitrators of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, and he is a vice-chair of the City of Los Angeles Employee Relations Board.
