International Commercial Arbitration Team Wins First Place at Michael T. Thorsnes Competition


The Pepperdine Law International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court (ICAM) team won first place at the 13th Annual Michael T. Thorsnes International Commercial Arbitration Competition. The competition was held at the University of San Diego on February 1-3.  Third-year students Claire Schalin and Carson Bennett represented the team in the final rounds. The team’s chair, Tracy Smith, took home an Honorable Mention Award for Best Oralist.

The competition team included Carson Bennett, Claire Schalin, Ashley Gebicke, Tracy Smith, Ginsey Kramarczyk, Allison Mather, Alexia Chapman, and Ryan Fuller. The Pepperdine ICAM team will participate in arbitration competitions in both Hong Kong and Vienna later this semester.
