California Supreme Court Survey: May 1997-August 1997
Abstract
The California Supreme Court Survey provides a brief synopsis of recent decisions by the supreme court. The purpose of the survey is to inform the reader of issues that the supreme court has addressed, as well as to serve as a starting point for researching any of the topical areas. Attorney discipline, judicial misconduct, and death penalty appeal cases have been omitted from the survey. The survey will review California Supreme Court cases in a summary format. Summaries provide the facts, holdings and brief outlines of the areas of law addressed in California Supreme Court cases. Additionally, summaries include references to additional research sources. Summaries are designed to provide the reader with a basic understanding of the legal implications of cases in a concise format.
