Monica M. Randazzo

Abstract

The California Supreme Court Survey provides a brief synopsis of recent decisions by the supreme court. The purpose of the survey is to inform the reader of issues that the supreme court has addressed, as well as to serve as a starting point for researching any of the topical areas. Attorney discipline, judicial misconduct, and death penalty appeal cases have been omitted from the survey. The survey will review California Supreme Court cases in either an article or summary format Articles provide an in-depth analysis of selected California Supreme Court cases including the potential impact a case may have on California law. Additionally, articles guide the reader to secondary sources that focus on specific points of law. Summaries provide a brief outline of the areas of law addressed in selected California Supreme Court cases and include references to additional research sources. Summaries are designed to provide the reader with a basic understanding of the legal implications of cases in a concise format.
