Biography

Professor Suzanne Freyer is an Assistant Professor of Law and Practice and Associate Director of Academic Excellence at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. She teaches Bar Exam Workshop for 3L students and Introduction to Professional Formation/Academic Mastery for 1L students. 

Professor Freyer graduated magna cum laude from Pepperdine Law School. During law school she served as a member of the Pepperdine Law Review and as a member of the Moot Court Board. Professor Freyer worked as a Legal Research and Writing teaching assistant during her 2L and 3L years and also as a research assistant for Professors Timothy Perrin and Peter Wendel. The highlight of her law school experience was serving as Co-Chair and writing the problem for the Vincent S. Dalsimer Moot Court Competition judged by United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Upon graduation, Professor Freyer clerked for Judge Dickran Tevrizian in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, before going to the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins, LLP.  At Latham, she practiced in all areas of civil litigation, but focused primarily on employment and toxic tort cases. Following her time with Latham & Watkins, Professor Freyer had the privilege of returning to clerk for Judge Tevrizian for his last year on the bench and also working in the General Counsel’s office at Pepperdine University.
