Sophia Hamilton
Biography
Professor Hamilton is an Adjunct Professor of Law and Director of the Disaster Recovery Clinic at Pepperdine Caruso Law. She is also serves as the Executive Director of the Externship and Pro Bono Programs. In these capacities, she teaches the Disaster Recovery Clinic in partnership with Professor David DeJute, administers the Externship and Pro Bono Programs, and teaches externship workshop classes that focus on learning from practice.
Prior to coming to Pepperdine, Professor Hamilton worked with Pepperdine University's Center for Estate and Gift Planning (CEGP), where she assisted donors with their estate planning needs as well as how to give charitable donations in fiscally responsible ways. Prior to joining CEGP, Professor Hamilton had her own practice where she assisted clients with employment and business law issues and conducted pre-litigation workplace investigations. Professor Hamilton began her legal career at a Clayson, Mann, Yaeger & Hansen where her practice focused on employment, business, nonprofit, and healthcare law.
