Peter Fendel
Biography
Professor Fendel is an Adjunct Professor of Law and the Caruso School of Law Director of Externships & Pro Bono Programs. He teaches the Externship class in the J.D. program, Legal Research & Writing in the Masters of Dispute Resolution program, and Introduction to U.S. Laws and Legal Systems in the Masters of Legal Studies program.
Professor Fendel graduated Cum Laude from Pepperdine Law School in 2014, where he served as the President of the Veterans Legal Society and sat on the Veterans Recruitment Committee. He also attended the University of Colorado, Boulder where he received a B.A. in Political Science and was selected to the Dean’s List.
Professor Fendel enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after 9/11 and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 2007. Prior to attending law school Professor Fendel worked in the Colorado State Legislature, on a congressional campaign, and at the United States House of Representatives.
Currently, Professor Fendel serves on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles nonprofit Community Veteran Justice Project and he volunteers in disaster response operations with Team Rubicon.
Professor Fendel is a licensed attorney in California and Colorado, and he enjoys spending time with his family on the Big Island of Hawaii, as well as surfing and hiking around Malibu with his rottweiler, Bear.
