
Peter Fendel
Biography
Professor Peter Fendel is a California and Colorado attorney who has practiced in the areas of civil litigation, water rights, and veterans advocacy. He graduated from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law in 2014, and has taught at the school since 2021. Currently, Professor Fendel teaches the Academic Mastery course and the Bar Exam Workshop, along with Introduction to U.S. Laws and Legal Systems in the Masters of Legal Studies program. Previously, Professor Fendel taught the J.D. program Externship course and Legal Research & Writing in the Masters of Dispute Resolution program. Professor Fendel has also served as the Executive Director of Externships and Pro Bono Programs for the Caruso School of Law.
Professor Fendel enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after the 9/11 attacks and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 2007. Prior to attending law school Professor Fendel worked for the Colorado State Legislature and the United States House of Representatives.
Currently, Professor Fendel serves on the Board of Directors for the Community Veteran Justice Project, and he volunteers assisting with disaster response operations for Team Rubicon. In his free time, Professor Fendel enjoys surfing and hiking around Malibu with his rottweiler, Dora.
