Biography

LaCrisia "Cris" Gilbert spent 15 years in corporate, industry and government training prior to taking a local mediation training. She has had 22 years as an academic adjunct professor with SMU, UNT System—Dallas and Denton, Dallas CCCD (El Centro & Cedar Valley), Collin College in Dispute Resolution, Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, Family and Civil Mediation. She is a Co-Founder and Board Member, Texas Mediator Trainers Roundtable (TMTR). She also spent 3 years conducting peer to peer mediation training in Dallas ISD and Tyler ISD. She served 4 years as a non-profit Chief Executive Officer for the Dispute Mediation Service, Inc. in Dallas, Texas. Cris has has a 30 year career in conflict management and mediation for municipalities, corporate, court, and community settings. She has mediated over 2,000 cases in family law, EEO, business, personal injury, and construction/housing. She is currently the inaugural organizational Ombudsman for National University in San Diego, CA.
