Biography
James "JP" Kirkley joined the school of law faculty as an adjunct professor in 2019. He is currently Associate General Counsel at VSP Global in Sacramento, California, and is General Counsel for its software division, Eyefinity, Inc. JP also serves on the Board of Directors at Travis Credit Union, one of the top credit unions in California. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, was one of the first fellows in the Geoffrey H. Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law, and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Biola University. JP frequently is invited to speak at national and international conferences and advise Fortune 500 companies on various matters, including legal process outsourcing, legal operations, best practices in supply chain procurement, and data security and privacy. JP started his legal career working in private practice and subsequently served in various legal and operational leadership roles at Salesforce.com and Oracle. Prior to that he had a distinguished career with Deloitte Consulting and lead corporate development initiatives for public and private companies.
