International Law Program

International law is divided into two general areas of specialization; international commercial law and international human rights law.

Foreign language skills are especially useful to attorneys practicing in this field.


International Law Degree

International commercial attorneys practice in the areas of immigration and naturalization; international trade and finance; international real estate transactions and development projects; international mergers; acquisitions, and joint ventures; international tax matters; and international intellectual property matters.

International human rights lawyers may work for various international bodies, including the United Nations, International Court of Justice, European Court of Human Rights, and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, or for non-governmental organizations such as Amnesty International.
