Rick Caruso (JD '83) Featured in Forbes
Excellence in retail and real estate
Pepperdine Law alumnus Rick Caruso (JD '83) was recently featured in the Forbes article "The Walt Disney of Retail" for his excellence in retail, real estate, and ability to transform communities in Southern California. The story highlighted the recent opening of Palisades Village in Pacific Palisades, which was featured in the Los Angeles Times and other news outlets. Palisades Village is the latest of Caruso's endeavors. The next project, Rosewood Miramar Beach Montecito, a five-star resort hotel, is set to open in January 2019.
Rick, his wife Tina, and their son Alex (JD '17, former Student Bar Association President), and other members of the family, recently attended the Renovation Celebration at the School of Law, where their generosity enabled a much-needed and long-awaited transformation of the most visible areas of the Odell McConnell Law Center, the Lon V. Smith Atrium, and Henry J. & Gloria Caruso Auditorium. Both Rick and Alex have remained faithful and involved alumni at Pepperdine Law since their graduation.
