Professor Edward Larson Wins 2018 National Book Award

To the Edges of the Earth


Professor Edward J. Larson was awarded the 2018 National Outdoor Book of the Year Award in History and Biography for his book, To the Edges of the Earth: 1909, the Race for Three Poles. Professor Larson's most recent book chronicles the expeditions in the North and South Poles, as well as to the Himalaya and Karakoram, in search of the third pole, or "altitude pole."
