Pepperdine Law Congratulates Yoori Chung

Yoori is our 4th bell-ringer in celebration of employment success

Pepperdine Law congratulates its fourth bell-ringer in recognition of post-graduate employment success, Yoori Chung! Joining in the celebration to witness Yoori chime the bell were Dean Paul Caron, Associate Dean Selina Brandt, Associate Dean Jim Gash, Director of Career Development, Michelle Feinstein, and members of the Administration Offices and Deans’ Suite. Yoori was also surrounded by a special gathering of friends, particularly her Section B classmates.

Yoori has accepted a post-graduate employment offer in the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office. Yoori was a summer clerk this year and was invigorated by the office’s charge to ensure legal defense representation for all individuals and provide proper counsel to protect and safeguard the rights of the accused under the law.

Yoori double-majored in Social Welfare and Ethnic Studies, with minors in Public Policy and Education, from the University of California at Berkeley. After graduation, she worked as a public high school math teacher and a state-certified health insurance counselor for a non-profit healthcare advocacy organization. At Pepperdine Law, Yoori is the current Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary and co-founder of the new Public Defender Student Association. Yoori was also the president of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA) and a vice president of the Advocates for Public Interest Law (APIL).

Congratulations, Yoori!
