Pepperdine Law Congratulates Ashley Gebicke
Pepperdine Law's first bell-ringer in celebration of employment success
Pepperdine Law's first bell-ringer in celebration of post-graduate employment success is Ashley Gebicke! Ashley was joined by Dean Paul Caron, Associate Dean Selina Brandt, Associate Dean Jim Gash, Associate Dean Danny DeWalt, Professor Greg Ogden, Assistant Dean Phil Bohl, members of the Career Development Office, Deans' Office, and Administration Offices, and her Section B classmates, Tracy Smith, Tyler Brown, and Kylee MacArthur, as she chimed the bell in front of the Deans' Suite.
Ashley has accepted a post-graduate offer as an associate lawyer in the Washington, D.C. office of Covington & Burling, LLP. Ashley knew she wanted to practice in D.C. after graduation because her husband, a U.S. Navy pilot, is going to be stationed at the Pentagon. In the summer before her 2L year, after researching D.C. firms with strong antitrust and white collar practices, she applied directly to several firms, including Covington. Ashley spent the past summer in the Covington D.C. office as a summer associate and had a wonderful and fascinating experience. She couldn’t be happier to return after graduation!
Ashley attended the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis as an undergraduate, where she majored in English. After graduating, she served as an officer in the Navy. During her time at Pepperdine Law, she has enjoyed participating in Law Review, where she is the current Symposium Editor, the Ninth Circuit Appellate Clinic, and the International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court team.
Congratulations, Ashley!
