Pepperdine Caruso Law Legal Aid Clinic Celebrates 25 Years of Offering Pro Bono Legal Services
On October 25, Pepperdine Caruso Law was pleased to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Legal Aid Clinic. The clinic serves the residents of the Union Rescue Mission, a faith-based shelter located in the Skid Row neighborhood of Downtown Los Angeles. Offering pro bono legal services to those experiencing homelessness, the clinic has trained hundreds of Caruso Law students to lawyer with compassion, creativity, and hope in the midst of injustice.
Stories of transformation from Caruso Law students, alumni, and legal clinic clients were included in the evening's program. Many of the Legal Aid Clinic's community partners, benefactors, and friends were honored at the event, including the following awardees:
