Kyser Blakely and Emily Sauer Nominated as Pepperdine Law's Outstanding Clinic Students

The Clinical Legal Education Association is a professional organization of over 1300 clinical law professors in the U.S. Each year, CLEA invites nominations for outstanding clinical students from each school. This year, our clinical faculty nominated Kyser Blakely (JD/MBA '18) and Emily Sauer (JD '18) as outstanding clinic students for the 2017-2018 academic year. The faculty recognized Kyser and Emily's excellence in clinical fieldwork and acknowledged their exceptionally thoughtful, self-reflective participation in an accompanying clinical seminar.

Kyser says, "There is no greater feeling than that of helping another in need." He adds of his teammate, "Emily is relentless in her pursuit of justice, but her most admirable quality is her kind heart and the way she loves others."

"Kyser was the best partner I could have ever asked for," Emily tells us. "He is extremely hard working, kind, diligent, and he thoughtfully approached all challenges that came our way. It was a joy to work with him and we were thrilled to obtain a full reversal for our client in the Ninth Circuit."

Kyser and Emily will be formally recognized at the graduation breakfast on May 17.
