Biography

Marcio Vasconcellos is an attorney licensed in Brazil and in the United States, where he practices in the international arbitration group of Musick, Peeler, & Garrett LLP, in Los Angeles, California. Marcio holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in law from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), in Brazil, and a master of laws (LL.M.) from Pepperdine University—Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, with concentration in international arbitration, where he was the JAMS Scholar. In addition to his practice, Marcio is an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University—Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, in Malibu, California, where he teaches the prestigious course "International Commercial Arbitration – Theory & Doctrine." Marcio is a fellow with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), chair of the Los Angeles Chapter of the CIArb, and a member of CIArb's Young Members Group.
