International Law Program

International law offers two main paths: international commercial law and international human rights law. Attorneys in this field benefit greatly from foreign language skills. Commercial lawyers handle matters such as immigration and naturalization, international trade and finance, real estate transactions and development projects, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, tax issues, and intellectual property. Human rights lawyers may work with international organizations like the United Nations, the International Court of Justice, the European Court of Human Rights, or the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, as well as with NGOs such as Amnesty International.
