2013 California Bar Admissions Ceremony

7:00 p.m. - Ceremony, Caruso Auditorium
Congratulations on passing the California Bar Examination! We look forward to celebrating with you, your family and friends at our annual admissions ceremony.
Upon your arrival at the School of Law, all participants should report to Classroom B to have your admission paperwork signed. It is extremely important that you bring the California State Bar admission card that you will receive in the mail. You will be responsible for filing the admission card once it has been signed.
If you would like to be sworn into the U.S. District Court, Central Division as well, please bring a check for the admission fee, made payable to: Pepperdine University School of Law. We will process your paperwork to the Federal Court. As of October 2012 the admission fee for lawyers admitted to the California Bar for less than three years is $226. The admission fee for lawyers admitted to the California Bar for three or more years is $276.

Parking will be available in the law student lot, the street, and parking lots I & H. Handicap parking will be available in the law faculty/staff lot. Please let us know if you or any guests will require handicap parking. Please encourage your guests to carpool, since, as you may remember, parking can be difficult. Remind your guests to arrive early enough (around 6pm) to get parking & seats in the auditorium.
Court will be called into session promptly at 7:00 p.m. in the Caruso Auditorium. There will be plenty of seating for your guests. We hope that you and your guests will join us for refreshments and hors d'oeuvre in the Atrium, immediately following the ceremony.

You will need the admission card that you will receive in your packet of materials from the California State Bar in order to be sworn in by the judge. You can not be sworn in to the Federal Court until you have been sworn in to the State Bar. This card can also be picked up at the Los Angeles Office of Admissions located at 1149 South Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015.
ALL ceremony participants must have completed the moral character application and received their verification materials indicating that all requirements for certification have been fulfilled by the time of the ceremony on December 6. You may verify that you have fulfilled your requirements by contacting the Bar Examiner's Office at 213.765.1500. If you have any questions about the Moral Character Determination application, please visit the California State Bar website and contact the Office of Admissions.
