Eligibility

  • J.D. from Pepperdine Caruso Law
  • Passionate about Global Justice
  • Preferred: Spent time in Uganda
  • Preferred: Mediation training from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution

Timeline

The fellow applies in the fall prior to the year spent abroad. Interviews with applicants and final decisions take place in October or November. The fellow begins his/her work the following September with training and orientation for two-weeks with the current fellow. 

Stipend

The Uganda fellow is paid $40,000 in two installments of $20,000. The first payment comes in September before departing for Uganda and the second payment is made in January of the new year.
