Pepperdine Law Congratulates Tyler Brown
Tyler is our second bell-ringer in celebration of employment success!
Pepperdine Law congratulates its second bell-ringer in celebration of post-graduate employment success, Tyler Brown! Prior to sounding the bell, Tyler thanked his many classmates in attendance, including his first-year study group, his friends from Pepperdine Law’s Washington, D.C. and London programs, his professors, and Michelle Feinstein, Director of the Career Development Office. Also joining in the celebration were Dean Paul Caron, Associate Dean Jim Gash, Associate Dean Danny DeWalt, Assistant Dean Shannon Phillips, and members of the Administration Offices and Deans’ Suite.
Tyler has accepted a post-graduate offer at Crowell & Moring, LLP, as an associate in the Washington, D.C. office. Tyler came to Pepperdine Law knowing he wanted to practice in Washington, D.C., which is why he was excited to participate in Pepperdine’s Washington, D.C. Program. He was looking for a firm with a strong presence in D.C. that would allow him to not only pursue his interests in international trade, litigation and government contracts, but also permit him ample pro bono opportunities to serve those most in need. Tyler heard about Crowell while serving as a judicial intern on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia during the summer after his 1L year. It fit the bill perfectly! He applied directly to the firm and was honored to receive a summer associate position for this past summer. The summer associate experience was fantastic—he immediately felt welcomed at the firm, made many new friends, and had the opportunity to work on a lot of interesting projects. Tyler cannot wait to return to Crowell and D.C. after graduating.
Prior to law school, Tyler attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in International Relations & Global Studies and Asian Cultures & Languages. At Pepperdine Law, Tyler is a Note and Comment Editor on the Pepperdine Law Review, a member of Pepperdine’s Interschool Moot Court Team, and is the President of Pepperdine OUTLaw. He also enjoyed participating in the London and Washington, D.C. programs.
