Pepperdine University has hired Korn/Ferry International to work with the University in identifying potential candidates for the law school dean position. A search committee has also been formed to meet with the candidates and select which finalists will be brought to campus for full interviews with the Pepperdine community. The search committee is led by Co-Chairs Provost Darryl Tippens and Professor Greg Ogden. Also on the committee are Professors Ed Larson, Grant Nelson, Naomi Goodno, and Jim Gash, along with Executive Director of Admissions and Records Shannon Phillips, School of Public Policy Dean Jim Wilburn, and Virginia Milstead (SOL ’04).
The meetings and interviews will take place during the fall semester, with an announcement of a new dean expected in the early spring. Interim Dean Tom Bost will continue to serve until June 1, 2011 when the new dean is expected to take office.
We are eager to hear from our alumni with any recommendations, nominations, or other feedback as this process unfolds. Please feel encouraged to contact any of the members of the search committee or to send a confidential e-mail to PepperdineLaw@kornferry.com.
