Lynda Bybee is the Deputy Executive Officer of Regional Communications for Metro (Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority).
In this capacity she is responsible for four work groups that constitute an integrated program to outreach to a countywide constituent base on transportation projects, funding, studies, construction impacts, transit safety and research and development. Ms. Bybee has been with the agency since 1996. During her tenure she has been involved in the completion of the Red Line subway, Pasadena Gold Line, Orange Line Busway and environmental studies on the I-710, and the Corridors of Crenshaw, Westside, Eastside, and Harbor Transit. Her previous professional experience includes business development for a major general contracting firm and management, production and authorship of both theatrical and documentary productions in New York and Los Angeles.
A native Californian, Ms. Bybee pursued a joint major of English and Theatre Arts at California State University Fresno before moving to Manahattan. Professional recognition includes the Emmy award winning documentary "Christina's World" and a number of national and international awards for transportation related productions and programs. Significantly contributing to the future are her children Barrett, a professional chef devoted to the adoption of sustainable food practices and Max, an Airman in the USAF devoted to securing the nation.
