Devon Cichoski is a Regional Communications Manager for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). She has developed community outreach programs for Metro since 2002. She works in diverse communities throughout Los Angeles County to engage dialogue and build consensus around rail, bus, highway and goods movement projects.
She is currently managing an innovative public participation program for the I-710 Corridor Project EIR/EIS to engage communities along the I-710 freeway in planning freeway improvements and exploring green goods movement technologies. The I-710 Corridor project involves a grassroots network of local community and corridor-wide advisory committees that advise Metro and its partner agencies on planning decisions. Devon has also managed outreach programs for the construction of the Metro Orange Line in the San Fernando Valley and the Harbor Subdivision Alternatives Analysis in the South Bay.
Prior to coming to Metro, Devon worked as a public involvement and communications consultant in the Pacific Northwest. Her clients included Sound Transit, the Washington Department of Transportation and Washington State Ferries.
Devon earned her Bachelor's degree in English from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She also has a graduate teaching credential from California State University, Long Beach. Devon lives with her husband in Redondo Beach, where, in her free time, she is an avid scuba diver, kayaker and yoga instructor.
