Full Tuition Scholarships*

Pepperdine has partnered with the following distinguished dispute resolution organizations for the 2018-2019 academic year to provide three full-tuition scholarships for students in the LL.M. Program*.

Jams

JAMS Scholarship

The Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine School of Law is pleased to announce that JAMS is sponsoring a full-tuition scholarship for Pepperdine's LL.M. in Dispute Resolution program. JAMS is the largest for-profit provider of mediation and arbitration services in the United States, with offices in more than 25 cities and more than 300 retired judges and senior lawyers on its panel. JAMS has been focusing on international opportunities, including the opening of an office in London, and sees this scholarship as an expression of its support for future practitioners.

The Lexton Law Firm Scholarships

The Lexton Law Firm, headquartered in Newport Beach, serves those who need legal services in both California and Nevada. For the 2018-2019 year the Lexton Law Firm has offered to expand their scholarship from one to the following two programs:

Lexton Scholarship for Korean Nationals

This scholarship is available to applicants from Korea looking to earn an LL.M. from Straus Institute's LL.M. program options.

Lexton Scholarship for Europeans

This scholarship is available to applicants from Europe looking to earn an LL.M. from Straus Institute's LL.M. program options.

Application Instructions

Interested students should send a two-page letter explaining why they would like to be selected for the JAMS or Lexton Scholarship with their application.

The letter should be send directly and exclusively to the following email address: strausscholarships@pepperdine.edu.

Each letter should be unique to the scholarship applied, and should also address the following:

1. How would an LL.M. from Pepperdine advance your short and long term professional goals?;
2. What areas of inquiry in the ICA/DR arena are of most interest to you?; and
3. How would the scholarship affect your ability to attend? (The scholarship will be based largely on merit, but financial need may be considered when applicants are equally qualified)

Scholarship applications will be due by 11:59 PM (PST), on March 2, 2018. Applicants are encouraged to apply early.

In addition to the full-tuition scholarships, Pepperdine provides partial scholarships at the point of admissions. Priority deadline for partial scholarships is February 15.

In preparation for the LL.M. program, International LL.M. students may want to participate in Pepperdine's U.S. Law and Legal Writing Seminar, offering a four-week Legal English intensive experience in July.
