Asian American Law Fund of New York

The Asian American Law Fund of New York, Inc. (the “Fund”), a non-profit organization established in 1993 by the Asian American Bar Association of New York, invites law students to apply for its 2013 Community Service Scholarships. These Scholarships represent the Fund’s commitment to assisting law students with their tuition obligations while encouraging them to use their legal knowledge and training to benefit New York’s Asian American community. For 2013, the Fund will continue to award Scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each to up to three law students who work with NY community service organizations during summer 2013. Prior Scholarship recipients have donated their time to various organizations addressing a breadth of issues, including immigration, voting rights, domestic violence, trafficking, and discrimination. Completed scholarship application and all required materials must be postmarked by April 1, 2013. Applications are available in the Office of Financial Assistance. Justice Pauline Davis Hanson Scholarship

As a tribute to the memory of the late Associate Justice Pauline Davis Hanson, Fresno County Women Lawyers has established a Scholarship to encourage and support outstanding academic achievement and commitment to service by women law students. The Hanson Scholarship is a $2,000 annual award to be presented to a current female law student who has successfully completed at least one year of law school and has not graduated. Preference will be given to current or former residents of Fresno, Kings, Madera, or Tulare Counties, especially if they intend to practice in these counties. Applications are available in the Office of Financial Assistance. ****DEADLINE: May 31, 2013****

WLA of San Luis Obispo County Scholarship

The San Luis Obispo County Women Lawyers Association is offering up to $750 in scholarship awards to current law students or students accepted for enrollment to law school with a demonstrated connection to San Luis Obispo County. The scholarship may be used for living expenses, tuition, books, bar exam courses or as otherwise needed to further your legal education.
