The Armenian Law Students' Association (ALSA) at Pepperdine University School of Law is dedicated to enriching Pepperdine's community understanding and appreciation for Armenian history and culture. The ALSA works closely with Armenian organizations at California law schools and universities to expand, strengthen and establish professional ties in the Armenian legal community. ALSA also collaborates with professional associations, such as the Armenian Bar Association, to help students recognize, create or act upon employment opportunities. During the 2014-2015 academic year, ALSA members will collaborate with the Armenian Bar Association and the Armenian Youth Federation to serve as volunteer intake advisors at a free immigration clinic.
ALSA also works closely with the Pepperdine community to coordinate various on-campus professional and social events. During the 2012-2013 academic year, ALSA organized the first Armenian Genocide commemorative event, featuring the Honorable Armand Arabian, former California Supreme Court Justice. Additionally, during the 2013-2014 academic year, ALSA organized an Art Show/Bake Sale, featuring original art pieces by Armenian artists and students.
