SBA MEETING

I.                   Call meeting to order at 5:10 pm

 

II.        Roll Call

Present:  Tara Ferguson, Stephen Hernandez, Michael Ashington-Pickett, Mark Rogers, Sally Robertson

Absent:   Nicole Berto, Minaz Ahamed, Stacy Aronowitz, Brian Beecher

 

III.       Approval of Minutes

Secretary absent – minutes from 9/27/03 to be approved later

 

IV.       Organization Proposal

A.  BLSA Proposal

1.  Details:  Requesting funds for bbq.  Admin recommended they come to the SBA for money b/c the bbq usually works out very well. 250 is requested.  The bbq is held at Prof. James’ house.

2.  Rogers makes motion to give $250.  Robertson seconds.

Rogers: Y

Ahamed: Y

Motion Passes 4-0

 

V.        Executive Reports

 

A.  Vice President: Steve Hernandez

Steve says ICC deadline is Sept 15th for all paperwork due to receive money.  The organizational calendar is now located across from Career Dev. Office. 

Steve sent an email to matt from undergrad to try and get more info with intramurals to law school students. 

 

VI.       New Business

Rogers says dicta email-formatting does not look professional. 

Those not running need to sign up to work election table. 

 

Robertson says get profs to barristers & suggests a jazz trio for barristers music.

Robertson makes a motion for $25 barristers tickets for students and faculty and their date comes free.  Rogers seconds.

Vote:  Rogers, Robertson, Hernandez, Ashington-Pickett, Ahamed vote Yes.

Motion Passes 5-0

Rogers makes motion to adjourn.  Robertson seconds.
