The American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) awarded Pepperdine’s Jerene Appleby Harnish Law Library one of the “Best of the Best” in Communicating with Patrons. The Harnish Law Library is among the Top Five libraries in the nation in this category.
The library was judged on the success of four programs: the Tuesday Café, Happy Hour, the Smart Bar, and the Coffee Cart, which enable students, staff, and faculty to find the resources they need. Pepperdine will present on these programs at the annual AALL conference in July.
"The Harnish Law Library’s number one priority is customer service," says public services librarian Jessica Drewitz. "We want the library to be an inviting place where customers feel welcome and comfortable in their environment. We are thrilled to have received this award and the chance to share ideas with other librarians."
Founded in 1906, the American Association of Law Libraries promotes law libraries to the legal and public communities who access them and provides leadership in the field of legal information.
