Pepperdine University School of Law's fourth annual golf tournament brought together students, alumni, and faculty on Monday, May 11. The tournament was hosted by alumnus Barak Vaughn (JD '01) at the Calabasas Golf and Country Club.
Ninety-three players competed in a scramble format, where every golfer played the team's best ball on every shot. The winning team was Barak Vaughn (JD '01), Don Schwarz, Chip Beck, and Chris Bonvie. Second Place team was Professor Steve Schultz, Max Czernin (JD '09), Mitchell Moses (JD '09), and Brian Simas (JD '09). Third Place team was Pete Gimino, III, (JD '98), Pete Gimino, Jr., Jonas Cikotas (JD '97), and Stacy Taylor (Senior Advancement Officer).
Jonas Cikotas won the putting contest, Travis Corby (JD '09) won longest drive, and Jason Cardona won closest to the pin.
All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the School of Law Dean's Excellence Fund, which funds student scholarships, international human rights projects, alumni events, special law symposia, and high profile guest lectures.
