Dean Starr Speaks on the Obama Administration for C-SPAN

Ken Starr, the Duane and Kelly Roberts Dean of the School of Law, appeared on C-SPAN on Monday evening to speak on topic of the solicitor general's office and the work of the new Obama Administration.

Dean Starr was interviewed by "Washington Journal" host Greta Brawner. The segment aired twice on Monday and again on Tuesday morning.

Dean Starr is the former solicitor general of the United States (1989-1993). As solicitor general, he argued twenty-five cases before the Supreme Court.

In the 1970s, he clerked for the Honorable David W. Dyer of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, and for Chief Justice Warren E. Burger.
While in private practice, he was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. In addition to working in the private sector, he has served as counselor to U.S. Attorney General William French Smith, and judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals, D.C.
