Scarberry to Testify at Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing

Professor Mark S. Scarberry will testify at a Senate Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Administrative Oversight and the Courts hearing titled, "Abusive Credit Card Practices and Bankruptcy," on Tuesday, March 24, at 7 a.m. Pacific.

Scarberry will speak on the "Consumer Credit Fairness Act." A Web cast of the hearing will be available here.

Scarberry's expertise includes both business and consumer bankruptcy. His scholarship includes the book Business Reorganization in Bankruptcy: Cases and Materials (now in its third edition) and a recent law review article for the ABI Law Review on the Supreme Court's decision in Travelers Casualty and Insurance of America v. Pacific Gas and Electric.

Scarberry joined the Pepperdine law faculty in 1982 after four years' practice experience with Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue, Los Angeles. He was the Robert M. Zinman Scholar in Residence for the American Bankruptcy Institute for the Fall 2007 semester.
