The Harnish Law Library has been undergoing major changes this summer. As you enter the Law Library, there is now a large, casual seating area with cozy couches and chairs. Creation of this area was in direct response to an increased demand by students for more seating in the library, particularly on the main floor. This space is perfect for informal gatherings, meeting friends, and Thursday Happy Hours! The tall book stacks that were once located adjacent to the new seating area were replaced with shorter stacks to open up a wider line of sight out the west-facing windows. This has made the library brighter and more beautiful, allowing all of us to enjoy the natural glory of our surroundings.
Because of these physical changes in the library, many books have moved. Please contact a Reference Librarian if you need assistance finding anything.
The orientation of the Public Services Desk also has been altered in order to provide a better service point for our customers. This design allows customers easy access to both circulation and reference services, and is more welcoming to all visitors to the library.
The Harnish Law Library is grateful for your understanding during these noisy transitions.
