About Us

As a partner in Pepperdine University's mission to strengthen students for lives of purpose, service, and leadership, the Law Library promotes a climate of intellectual discovery by actively supporting curricular and research needs through its collections, facilities, and exceptional service.

Established in 1969, the Jerene Appleby Harnish Law Library has grown from a small facility in Santa Ana to a 40,000 square foot space in Malibu with ocean and mountain views and a collection of some 400,000 titles. Also available in the library are a variety of electronic databases, an extensive microfiche collection, and several special collections, such as the prized American Arbitration Association Library and Information Center Collection. Study rooms, network-connected carrels and tables, and comfortable seating areas create a pleasant and convenient atmosphere for quiet study, collaborative learning, interaction, and reflection.

The Law Library proudly serves the reference and research needs of the students and faculty at the School of Law, while welcoming visitors to browse our collection.
