Costs

Students participating in the Washington, DC, Externship Semester pay the same tuition as students on campus. Housing and Residence Life costs are generally comparable to housing on or near campus.

In addition, DC Externship students incur travel costs and a $250 activity fee for their participation in the DC Externship Semester. This activity fee is used exclusively for events and items specifically for the DC Externship students, offsetting the costs associated with the tour on orientation day, the orientation social with the DC Externship Alumni Advisory Committee, academic presentations and/or speakers, dinners provided at the DC Externship Workshop, and group dinner(s) during the semester.
