Pepperdine Law School is a place where students learn to be great lawyers serving the profession and their communities.  To be a Christian law school is to be a welcoming community, committed to learning in the context of our values, and motivated by concern for the common good.  We strive to be lawyers who bring to our work the highest standards of intellectual rigor, civility, ethics, and professionalism.  We respond to a calling to join together as students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the law school to live out a commitment to be legal professionals in community--learning from each other and inspiring ourselves and those around us to be models of the rule of law at work.  I join with all of you in responding to this call and being in community at the Pepperdine University School of Law.
