Professor Mendoza is a specialist in international business transactions. He teaches International Commercial Dispute Resolution, International Business Transactions, Cross- Cultural Negotiation and Dispute Resolution, International Income Taxation, and Federal Income Taxation. He is frequently invited to present lectures and short courses in the United States and abroad on a variety of international business and dispute resolution topics. Recent venues include the University of Houston School of Law, Hamline School of Law (Modena, Italy), St. Mary's University School of Law, the Universidad Panamericana in Guadalajara and Mexico City, the Universidad AnĂ¡huac in Mexico City, and the Colegio de Notarios in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Professor Mendoza is also a practitioner in his teaching areas. As a bilingual/ bicultural, lawyer/CPA for over twenty-five years he has substantial experience in structuring domestic and international legal, corporate, financial and tax strategies. He is listed as a neutral with the International Chamber of Commerce and the California Academy of Mediation Professionals. He is a member of the prestigious Houston International Arbitration Club and is on the Board of Advisors of the Frank G. Evans Center for Dispute Resolution, at the South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. He is a former vice-chair of the Mexico Law Committee and International Taxation Committee of the American Bar Association, Section of International Law and Practice. He is a member of the Dispute Resolution Section of the American Association and the American Association of Law Schools.
