Meet the Faculty

The School of Law faculty comprises some of the finest lawyers and scholars in the nation. Faculty members serve as teachers, scholars, mentors, counselors, and community leaders. Pepperdine's faculty is deeply committed to students as the heart of the educational enterprise. In fact, The Princeton Review has ranked Pepperdine law faculty as the most accessible faculty in the country for the past two consecutive years.

Moreover, the faculty produces first-rate scholarship, including more than 180 law review articles and 100 additional publications in the past seven years. On the strength of its strong record of scholarship, Pepperdine was elected to membership in the Order of the Coif in 2008.

Pepperdine law faculty members often hold positions of leadership. Eleven current faculty members have served as chairs or executive committee members for sections of the Association of American Law Schools. Six professors are elected members of the American Law Institute, and eight professors hold endowed chairs or named professorships at the School of Law.

Consistent with the law school's enduring heritage of faith, faculty members take seriously their responsibility to serve as role models for students as they seek to prepare students for lives of purpose, service, and leadership.
