Professor Butler holds two law degrees, one from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, and the other from the University of Bordeaux in France. During her first year of law school in France, she was first in class of 1,700 students, and while at Washington University, she graduated Order of the Coif and was an articles editor for the Washington University Law Review.
