Make an Impact While You Are in Law School
To us, success in law (and in life) means leading and serving, and that is what we do best. We are interested in producing tangible results with global influence. At Pepperdine Law, you can make a life-changing impact while you are in law school. We will train you to lead and empower you to serve while you are getting your law degree. Here are a few examples of how you can lead and serve while you are at Pepperdine:
Trained by our #1 ranked Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, you can compete around the world and gain experience in creative problem-solving. Engage in our dispute resolution clinic and help resolve real disputes with real clients. Creative problem-solving and peacemaking are arguably the most important qualities in a successful lawyer. Here, you will receive world-class training from the best of the best.
Our unrivaled Global Justice Program plunges you deep into the heart of the developing world as a student intern. Help alleviate human trafficking and other persistent and systemic forms of injustice around the globe. Intern with the judiciary or the national prosecutor's office in Uganda or Rwanda. Battle injustice with legal non-profit organizations in India, The Philippines, Guatemala and other impoverished nations. You will come back forever changed.
Immerse yourself in the actual practice of law before you graduate through our wide-ranging and diverse clinical and externship programs where students hone their real-life legal skills by representing and advising clients, trying cases, arguing appeals, and drafting business documents. Work with real clients on skid row, with veterans in dire need, broken families suffering from domestic violence, or represent non-profit organizations as they seek to fulfill their noble goals. The practical training our students receive ranks us 5th in the country in preparing students to practice law.
Entertainment and Sports
Launch your career as business, real estate, or media entrepreneurs through our established Palmer Center, or our new Entertainment, Media and Sports Law Program located in the epicenter of those industries in Los Angeles.
Embrace the thrill of courtroom advocacy through our highly successful and well-traveled trial and appellate moot court teams, which are ranked 11th in the country.
Study in London and Washington, D.C.
Two of our most popular programs allow you to spend a semester in our nation's capital or in the birthplace of our legal system. Expand your horizons by spending the fall at our London campus in South Kensington, or the spring at our Washington, D.C. campus on Pennsylvania Avenue. Students enroll in international and domestic law classes and gain valuable internship experience.
